First, if you book us for a full-service move, we will not only provide the packing materials for you, but we will also pack and unpack your items, and recycle or dispose of the packing materials when everything is done. However, you can also order supplies for packing through us on an a la carte basis along with other services you may need. Finally, you can always get used boxes from friends or stores, however, these might be lower quality due to already being used. They can easily fall apart meaning your items might not be secure. We recommend going with professional materials.

Specialty Boxes You May Need

In addition to the regular small, medium, and large rectangular boxes that are great for books, clothes, and other knick-knacks, there are also specialty boxes you need for your move. For example, thin boxes for mirrors and framed art, and specially shaped boxes for TVs and other electronics can preserve their quality. Bikes also can be broken down and shipped in a special kind of box. Wardrobe boxes make moving the clothing from your closet even easier.

There are even some items that go into regular boxes that require some special materials. Dishes like plates may require special bubble wrap sleeves to ensure they don’t rub up against each other while shipping. Glasses often need a glass pack kit – a special insert to hold the glasses in place so they are less likely to break.
