Sometimes you need something fast. Sometimes you need something shipped over a long distance. When you need both, that results in a long distance expedited shipment. This is a service we offer to make sure that you get what you need, when you need it. While more flexible long distance shipping options may place your goods in trucks with other items going the same general direction, expedited shipping prioritizes speed over cost cutting measures.  This avoids the many transfers and stops that may occur without faster shipping speeds.

No distance is too long for expedited trucking. Long distance shipping is generally considered to be anything over 150 miles. Under that amount, and you move is typically considered local. Fast shipping is available for both of these options, but long distance freight transportation services require more logistical planning.  We will help you develop the right plan to get everything where and when you need it. We work with both individuals and businesses who require these services. It’s not just corporate accounts that need fast shipping – sometimes individuals need it for as well.

How We Do It

We offer LTL (less than a truckload) services for those who require the fastest shipping speeds. That means instead of saving costs by waiting for a full truckload going the same way as your package, we will send it out to prioritize timing, even if the truck is not full. Additionally, with expedited trucking, the truck rarely stops, if ever. Generally, two truck drivers will share the duties, taking turns sleeping so they never have to stop for more than a few minutes to stretch their legs.

The special considerations with long distance shipping include securing an item for travel over a longer distance, and making sure that your shipment is trackable every step of the way. We offer constant access to your tracking information in addition to a point person that you can always contact with questions about your move.

Speed Of Expedited Freight

Expedited shipping can take up to 2-3 days, depending on how far it is going. If it is only a few hundred miles, same day service may be available. However, cross country journies will require more time, and will probably be closer to the 3 day mark.
